Gasly hopes Alpin will make it into the F1 leadership group. Driver Alpin shared his impressions of finishing in 6th place at the Chinese Grand Prix.

If you compare our position in 2025 and this year, we are in a completely different league, so I am very pleased. We did a great job in qualifying, finishing a couple of tenths of a second behind McLaren. [In the race] in the first stint I wasn`t that far behind the Ferrari.
There are still little things that need to be corrected and corrected - but we have nothing irreparable. Therefore, I feel quite confident. The stage in China turned out to be special. I hope that in the next races the pace will be at about the same level.
The car has some limits, which we are working on. I feel like we took a step forward this weekend. And not due to new products, but due to small adjustments to the car. The task is to create a gap from your opponents behind and get closer to the group of leaders, joining their fight. I don`t know if we can achieve this. I only know that the team is working hard and there is still a lot to come. That alone is enough to excite me, ” Gasly said.
