Pirelli said it collected little data during tire tests in Italy. Pirelli admitted that little data was collected during the two-day tire test at the Mugello circuit. Ferrari and Haas took part in the races.
The tire manufacturer initially intended to test the toughest sets for the 2026 season. However, due to the rain, most of the sessions had to be spent on intermediate and rain tires.
The weather didn`t help us. It`s a pity, because Mugello is not only a wonderful track, it is also very demanding on tires. It would be helpful to run some stable runs on our site to test the rigid sets.
Now we need to complete the analysis of the small amount of data that we have collected over these two days and compare it with data from previous sessions in order to draw the necessary conclusions, said race director Pirelli.
