Yuki Tsunoda was positive about finishing in the top 10 in qualifying. The Red Bull driver made it into the third qualifying segment for the first time driving a new car and took tenth position in Bahrain.
I`m fine with that. Of course, as a rider you want more, but given the practice and the fact that this is my second round, I still accept this result.
It was hard. It is not easy to stay in the working window, it is quite narrow. I tried a variety of things to consistently stay within that window. Naturally, there are ups and downs, as in practices. I won`t rush and will try to improve step by step.
The long segment in the second training session didn’t work out, but the car was different then. At the same time, the segment turned out to be not that amazing for me either. New changes are needed - this applies to both me and the car in order to show speed.
But I have a normal level of confidence behind the wheel. Not great, but okay, ” said Yuki Tsunoda.
Tsunoda was 10th in the second qualifying for Red Bull, Verstappen – 7th, Adjar – 12th, Lawson – 17th
Norris again failed to qualify, but McLaren still took pole. Average in top 5
